This two-year Diploma is aimed at students who would like to learn the skills of contemplative spiritual direction or accompaniment. This is a non-accredited course consisting of six units and is recognised by the Australian Ecumenical Council for Spiritual Direction. The six units are as follows:

Contemplative Stance and Soul Care
History of Contemplative and Apophatic Spirituality
Spiritual Direction Praxis 1

YEAR 2
Beyond Beginnings of Spiritual Direction 1
Beyond Beginnings of Spiritual Direction 2
Spiritual Direction Praxis 2
 
Costs: (includes tuition, residential accommodation, meals)
$2500 per semester = Total $10 000
Fees are to be paid upfront and payment plans are possible.

Tuition components
  • One residential week in each semester
  • Residentials will focus on both content and supervision
  • One day per month in each semester - content and practicum work 
  • Online learning and Individual Study

Requirements
The program provides training in spiritual direction for Christian ministry.  Therefore, applicants will need:
  • A commitment to personal and spiritual development in oneself and others.
  • Introductory working knowledge of Christian theology. (Prior completion of units in theology or biblical studies relevant to your tradition)
  • Significant life experience
  • Two professional recommendations.
  • Scan of the highest educational qualification received
  • Some experience of spiritual accompaniment work.


Distance Mode
Online participation possible for those in rural areas or outside Western Australia. In-person attendance at residentials is required.
