There are a number of ways people can be connected with Dayspring and find in that engagement support for their own contemplative life.
Some people use Social and digital media to keep connected. We have a Facebook PageHERE. If you use this platform for other things, please LIKE our page. We also circulate a regular email newsletter. You can subscribe to it HERE.
Monastic communities have created their own rhythm of work and prayer and meditation. We are able to offer a small range of activities that might help you develop a Rhythm of Life for you. A group of Members and Friends of Dayspring gather regularly as an On-Line Community for Prayer and Meditation together rather than alone. The pattern for Morning & Evening Prayer is provided in Dayspring's own Daily Prayers & Pilgrim Eucharist - if you don't have a copy, you can buy one through our Shop HERE.

Dayspring is wants to encourage you to take up contemplative practices at home - as part of your personal spiritual life. While we offer events that bring you together with likeminded people to undertake such practices as well as events that will expand you range of practices in the contemplative life, much of what you will do is most likely to be done at home. We have a booklet of information about some of the simplest contemplative exercises HERE. It might help you along the way.
We understand that developing the habits of contemplative practice may be difficult in some home settings as well as when it is a task to be done alone. To that end we are able to hold a space for you each Tuesday during school terms in and around our Library at St Peter & Emmaus Community Church.
Someone is generally there to begin the day at about 9.30am with Morning Prayer from the Dayspring book of Daily Prayer. The space is conducive to reading, walking a labyrinth, and sitting in contemplation indoors or outside. There will be like-minded people to chat with - or not. At about 12.30pm those who are there will gather in the chapel or foyer to celebrate a Eucharist together after which, you are welcome to have lunch together - there is a deli just down the street if you want to buy something.
This time is made freely available to members and friends of Dayspring. We hope it will be a place that nurtures your spiritual life and helps you develop your contemplative practice. You are welcome to simply come. We say to others, come when you can, go when you must. Enjoy!
