These sessions are intended as an introduction to or refresher in the contemplative skills that we need for a rich and rewarding contemplative life in God and with each other. They will be co-facilitated by Ruth Vertigan and John Clapton and conducted at the Star Street Uniting Church in Carlisle, where Ruth is the Minister.


Our first session will introduce you to the practice called Lectio Divina, or sacred reading, and the practice of Journalling. Future sessions will look at Silent Meditation, Contemplating Creation, Praying with Icons, walking the Labyrinth and using Prayer Beads.

 


Sessions are from 9.30am -12.30pm
