What is Spiritual Direction? - 7th October 2023 (Cookernup)
Have you ever wondered what spiritual direction is? Are you interested in becoming a spiritual director? Would you like someone to accompany you on your spiritual journey? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this is the day for you. During this workshop we will introduce the historical background of contemplative spiritual direction. You will see how people have been accompanying each other in this way for centuries. You will have the opportunity to observe what a spiritual direction session looks like from the perspective of the director and the directee. We will also explore how spiritual direction differs to other helping professions and the unique gift it can offer. There will be plenty of space for questions, discussion and talking with trained spiritual directors. Everyone is welcome!
